If you want to take up running, there’s no better way to start than with a parkrun. The Bere Island 5k parkrun route takes in a loop around the eastern end of the island. Volunteers will be on hand to offer support and following the run there’s a time for a coffee and a chat before catching the ferry back to the mainland. If you would like your time to be recorded please register for a free barcode with www.parkrun.ie
If you are travelling from the mainland, a shuttle bus service is available from the ferry to the start of the parkrun.
